French class at Holy Cross
Here is what the French students at Holy Cross have been learning! Thanks to Madame Molly for sharing!!!
"We've been having fun mixing in some games to the lessons. They love duck, duck, goose, hot potato, and we've been doing different activities with bean bags. Last week, we used the bean bags to review "Comment ca va?" The first round through they had to toss to the picture I described and repeat the phrase and second time through they answered the question. This week they tossed with a partner reviewing some of the questions we've been learning. Thanks for all of the great ideas and lessons! "
Number practice at home!
Thanks to Senõra Maria for sharing the following fun activity that she is doing in her classes to practice numbers. This is any easy one to practice at home, too!
"This week in class, we played go fish in Spanish. The students were in a preschool class, but we managed to finish the game and they were pretty focused considering their age. It would probably work even better with elementary kids especially those who already know 1-10. They can learn "tienes" (do you have) "si" "no, "ve a pescar" (go fish)."

¿Cómo Estás?
We have been learning how to answer the question "Como estas?" in class... print out the following coloring sheet and get your children to help identify which faces are "estoy bien", which ones are "estoy mal" and which ones are "mas o menos".

1st French class at Blessed Sacrament
This activity is just too cute not to share! This is a short video clip showing you what the students in the first day of French class did at Blessed Sacrament today. They even made little people out of Popsicle sticks with berets on them. Big thanks to the French teacher, Madame Lauren, for sharing! (make sure your speakers are up to hear the kids in action)
